The Joy of Cooking!!

I am not sure what has come over me but I have been a cooking mood. Now, I'm not saying that I don't cook. I pretty much cook every meal we eat. However, the past two weekends I have been cooking from scratch. I never do this and I don't know why because Cate and I have had so much fun doing it and the end result is totally worth it!!!

Our first weekend we made cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, and bazlama (Turkish flat bread.)

This past weekend we made pumpkin cookies, chicken and dumplings, and homeade bread!!!

Halloween!!!

This year Caitlyn was Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz. Saturday, we went to Boo Haha at Brookside in Tulsa, Cherry Berry in Owasso, and the pumpkin patch. Halloween, we trick-or-treated around our neighborhood.

She dressed up for school...

What have we been doing lately?

Well...we went to see my parents a few weeks ago. While we were there we took a drive around the Wichita Wild Life Refuge and Medicine Park. I forget how pretty it is this time of year!!

The countdown is on....

:) Less than one month and Cate will be home!!! It's crazy to think about how much I have changed in 8 years. Before she came along, I will admit, I was somewhat selfish. These days, my whole world literally revolves around this little girl. She has been gone for a month and mommy has been boooooooooooooored!!!!

The last time I saw her was the weekend of 4 July. Here is a pic of her in her Indian dress.

I miss that face...
